Today, April 4th 2013, Adobe revealed some details about the next generation of their video tools. In this tutorial series we give you some sneak peak about the next version of Adobe After Effects. The tutorials are recorded with the not yet published version of Adobe After Effects that will be shown by Adobe in their demos at the NAB show.

In this video we take a look at the most impressive new feature of the next version of After Effects: The Integration of a special version of Maxon Cinema 4D: Cinema 4D Lite. This version is now tightly integrated in After Effects with a Live 3D Pipeline. Scenes from Cinema 4D can be used directly as footage inside After Effects without the need to render first. Even individual render passes can be imported in AE directly.

In this first part we cover the basics of this workflow and in the second part we look at multi pass workflows by importing from C4D a 3D object and its shadow into separate layer in After Effects.
